What Is Visual Kei?
Visual Kei is Japan’s version of glam rock mixed with punk and goth where bands dress in bands dress in bold, artistic outfits that often mix masculine and feminine elements, and their music can range from heavy metal to pop-rock. It's all about combining striking visuals with emotional, dramatic music. Bands like X Japan and the GazettE are some popular examples of Visual Kei.
Where are your items sourced from?
We travel to Japan yearly to attend concerts and events, bringing official band merchandise back to Canada. Every item we offer is 100% authentic and directly supports Visual Kei bands. We also share live updates on our social media platforms from the events we attended and showcase the merchandise we've picked up!
Are you only located in Alberta, Canada?
Currently yes. We would be happy to have the opportunity to visit other provinces and cities within Canada, and potentially international destinations as well. If any local conventions or events come to mind that might be a good fit for us, we would sincerely appreciate if you can recommend them our name!
How do I place an order?
We offer a shopping service for selected live events that we attend while in Japan. To place an order request, please submit the shopping service form on our website. If you are interested in items currently in our stock or have any questions, feel free to contact us through our social media or the contact page. We will be happy to assist you with item inquiries and availability.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we offer international shipping to selected countries. If you are interested in international shipping, please contact us through our contact page or social media so we can confirm availability and provide shipping details. Please note that customers are responsible for all shipping costs, as well as any customs duties, import taxes, or additional fees that may be charged by their country upon delivery.
What payment do you accept?
We accept cash (storefront), debit and credit cards. If it is online, we will send a payment link by using Square.
Do you provide Shopping Service?
Yes. Shopping services are available for select live events during the period we are in Japan. Please check our schedule for participating lives. Please note that due to scheduling conflicts, venue accessibility, and high demand for certain items, we may not be able to attend specific live performances requested or obtain requested items.
What are your Shopping Service fees?
Event Service Fee: $10 CAD per event. Item Handling Fee: $3 CAD per item. Additional Fee: Orders exceeding 10,000 YEN in merchandise value will incur an additional $10 CAD fee for every 10,000 YEN increment
Can I pay and pick it up at the upcoming conventions?
Absolutely! When we announce our convention appearances, just let us know which conventions you would like to pick up your order at and we will have it ready for you.
Are the posters at your booth for sale?
All posters surrounding our booths are not for sale and are for display purposes. Posters may be made available to purchase exclusively during guest appearances, as part of the guests' line of merchandise.
Do you do exchanges or refunds?
All sales are final. Each item is carefully inspected prior to purchase. We are not responsible for the condition of any item(s) once it has left the store. In the event of a product defect, please return the item along with the original receipt or proof of purchase either during the convention dates (Friday–Sunday) or within 5 days after package has been delivered. All refunds or exchanges requested will be evaluated at the discretion of the Store Manager. Please note Visual Kei Dreamer will not be responsible for any damages that occurs during shipping and handling caused by postal services or carriers.
The CD I want to buy has a crack on the case?
Our staff will carefully inspect all items prior to handing them over to our customers during the conventions. If a CD case is found to be cracked, we will gladly provide an empty replacement case for you to use at home. As the CD itself remains unaffected, no refunds or discounts will be issued.
